Hishiiwa

A taste of authentic Kyoto O’Bento with Kaiseki cuisine beautifully arranged inside a wooden lunch box, RSVP only. Opened in 1830, Hishiiwa, is one of the few existing catering-only restaurants in Kyoto and rated as the most beloved O'Bento establishment in town. It is not possible to dine in Hish...iiwa but one can order a bento to take out. Make reservation three days in advance. It's a jewel box of Kyoto-style Kaiseki cuisine with colorful and seasonal dishes. It's delicious even when it's cold. While Kyoto Isetan department store (B2F) at JR Kyoto station offers pick up, only one type of Hishiiwa O'Bento is available for sale. Only at its own store, one can have a wide selection of its signature Kyoto O'Bento.
