My husband and I just enjoyed a beautiful date night at this lovely restaurant. We started with an Italian ham appetizer, also gluten free, and then ordered a "special" meal that tasted fresh, delicious and unique, as I am gluten free and dairy free. The chef knows dietary restrictions - hooray! Eat...ing out is always a little stressful, as I never know if i will feel sick after the meal. This chef made me feel secure that my meal would be safe, and I felt terrific afterwards. Service was attentive. Our waitress did not speak English, and we do not speak Japanese, so she had an English speaking waiter take our table. He was terrific! We also shared a carafe of dry white wine, which is difficult to find in Japan. White wine is usually too sweet in this country. For non-GF folks, they also have a fire roasted pizza oven that smelled divine. Also should mention that prices are extremely reasonable.

Not so special lunch at Gaudente restaurant. Chef is italian, kitchen seems big but the cuisine seems always the same cuisine that you can find everywhere outside Italy; didn't feel the italian chef skills... unfortunately. We where three people at lunch... not so full... Moriawase was without taste... and too much simple for the price. Pizza was small, with a bad shae and not so good taste. Tiramisu was good.

Met with friends from Kyoto and Himeji for lunch here. They have a private area for groups, so it could be more private. Service is good, food is good. Set lunch from 1000yen onwards. We had the 2600yen set lunch, consists of appetizer, pasta/pizza, main (fish or pork), dessert and drink. Definitel...y a good place for groups gathering!

The food was absolutely amazing. I was surprised how low the prices were. Everything is fresh, homemade by true Italian chefs. They have set menus or regular items to chose from, all of which are excellent combinations and well put together dishes. They even gave me two half deserts for the price o...f one. Everything you see in my image came down at around 3200¥. Beautiful location, friendly staff, great chefs, excellent menu. Thanks for having me and keep the Italian dream going!
