“Delicious Italian by the river”
Exceptional food and wonderful staff who accommodated all our wishes. Wine selection was great too! We ate some starter salads which were excellent but the pizzas were yum. So good we kept ordering more!

“Good Restaurant with a Wonderful View”
Upper end Italian restaurant, part of a chain, on 10th floor of JR Isetan department store. Very good food and service with a wonderful view of downtown Kyoto. Recommend pizza and spaghetti. Acceptably priced wine. We’d definitely visit this restaurant again. Reservations recommended to avoid a wait... to eat (available through Trip Advisor website).

“Beautiful location, friendly staff”
We were with a family of five. We hadn't a reservation but after some waiting we were seated at a table with beautiful view over Kyoto Tower. Nicely decorated restaurant, the food and the pizza's were good. Very friendly and polite staff members, they did their best to make us feel welcome.

“Faux Italian in a Noisy Environment”
Our hotel recommended this and admittedly we were there the weekend before the World Rugby Cup playoff weekend. That said the place was filled with groups of 4, 6, 8 men drinking beer and the noise level was off the charts. Our server was a young Japanese woman who did not know how to open a bottl...e of wine (never mind bringing the cork to the table) and with whom we could not really discuss the menu. The view of the night skyline is nice; but the place is not inexpensive and the food (I had spaghetti bolognese) was so so. My husband and daughter each got a pizza and said it was fine, but not exceptional. I would give it a pass.

“2nd diner 👌🏼”
We are from Europe. One of the reasons visiting Japan is the food. However, once we were still hungry after a sashimi dinner, we looked for a place to get a pizza and found Salvatore‘s kitchen in Kyoto Station on the 10th floor. The staff greets you with some Italian words and the food was 👌🏼👍🏼👌🏼. ...If you really really miss Italian food in Kyoto, I can recommend this place. To find it, take the moving stairs to the eleventh floor (to the restaurants) and walk down to the 10th floor on the left side of the moving stairs ( after enjoying the view)
