“Avoid. Tourist rip off”
This place is unbelievably expensive. JPY1,500 for edamame and JPY 2,800 for a tuna roll. JPY 3,000 for 4 types of sashimi! Designed for the unsuspecting tourist. We left after having only sake

“Unreasonable”
This small restaurant is in walking distance from Himeji Castle. We went without reservation and service was prompt. While waiting for friends, we ordered beer and edamame before lunch. Sushi lunch set was priced reasonably at around JPY3,500 - 4,000. Ingredients are fresh and taste good. We al...so ordered grilled prawns with salt which were very tasty too. However, we realised that edamame costed JPY1,800 per portion, which was very expensive.

“Disappointing”
We had high expectations due to the reviews and were disappointed. The quality of the fish was okay. The shaping and forming of the Nigiri and Maki was very low skilled and presentation was below average. The slices of fish were sometimes too thick (squid/octopus) and uneven, which made it very hard... to chew. The sushi was absolutely not worth the high price. The staff was nice. But we really didn't like the fact that the sushi chef, after preparing our sushi, started watching tv and smoking in the same room we were eating.

“Wonderful near Himeji Castle - Perfect service”
A fantastic, quaint, intimate, delicious, and nearly perfect sushi place near Himeji Castle. It's entrance is a non descript, but don't pass this place by. Not only was the food amazing, but the service/attitude of the restaurants chef and employees were the best we encountered in Japan -- some of... the best we have ever had anywhere actually! 100% worth eating at =)
