Toriyasu

I happened to chance on this restaurant, which is hidden in one of the narrow streets near the river. The menu is limited, it offers a choice of chicken hot pot or chicken teriyaki. Being by myself, I was seated at the counter, which gives you a direct view of the (tiny) kitchen. I chose the chick...en hot pot, which was prepared right next to me on the counter and served by a charming waitress, who did not speak a word of English. The food was superb, the service efficient, and the ambiance friendly. Recommended.
