In Kyoto station you're spoilt for choice when it comes to food. There must be dozens of nice looking ones. The full meal menus in this place are good value, with a lot of small side dishes. Jasmine tea arrives immediately, which is good, but it wasn't regularly topped up as t would be back home. Th...ere is an English menu with photos, which helps, but the staff don't really speak much English at all. We got exactly what we wanted: prompt friendly service, a familiar meal with no strange surprises and the opportunity to leave early after a full day's sight-seeing in this lovely city. There was even the bonus of a 10% discount on production of our passports.
