Gempin Hozenji Sohonten

Tried their “set B” that comes with sashimi, fish skin thinly sliced and in ponzu sauce, hotpot version and fried version. Love all of the versions and staff were very nice and polite too. Thank you and will visit again when I’m in Osaka!:)

My daughter bought 3 Fugu dinner sets at this Osaka restaurant from Klook at SGD$50 before we left for Japan. We had to adhere to the fixed time selected; in our case 8pm. Although we were in the vicinity by 7pm we were not allowed in until 8pm. It was a 5 course dinner. Started with the skin n sash...imi flesh dishes. They were very smooth in texture but actually hardly any taste for the sashimi flesh. Next was the main Hotpot which I enjoyed. This was prepared in front of you. Followed by tge porridge cooked in the same pot. Then the nice icecream desert. However drinks are extra. We opted for green tea. We joked that this could be our last meal if the chef made a mistake. But we survived. Overall it was a nice meal just to check off our bucket list of interesting food. Good experience although it is not a cheap meal considering that there are many choices of food available in Osaka.

The Restaurant is very nice and good..... I like the dishes so much.....Love the place, the ambiance and everything.... Hope to bring my family and loves ones here someday......

I uesd to know Japanese puffer sushi～ it's amazing！how these puffer be nontoxic！！！chef told me puffer called fugu in Jananese：D I like fugu sushi, It's delicious and succulent：）yummy～

We shared a 7 course set. Had to pay a little extra because we only ordered one set but it was enough for the 2 of course. Overall a very good experience and not expensive at all by Japanese standards at around US$60. Did not enjoy the smoking environment though. Not sure if there is a non-smokin...g area but waiters know very limited English so we did not bother to ask. Definitely a recommended experience in Japan.
