We are absolutely disappointed. Very boring food with no taste. Although very good and fresh ingredients the tast and display was beloe average. How this restaurant earned a Michelin star is not understandable, thats why the price and value is not in line

I forgot to write this up last year and came across it again in my notes. Very disappointed. I was having a Maiko Performance for my guests (as I am a Guide) and ordered a bento version takeout off of their menu. Food was very bland. Not at all what I expected. The presentation was beautiful but my... guests even commented concerning the food. Not deserving of one star at all. I have been ordering food elsewhere since then. Maybe their in house food is better (which I have not tried) but will not be going anyway because of my first experience. As an ex- Food & Beverage Director in Japan for many years, I was really hoping for something that would knock the socks off my guests. Too bad.

We dined in this restaurant upon our arrival years ago when we arrive in Osaka for a great dinner to start the trip off. The kaiseki meal was deliciously made by experienced chefs. We pre-booked the chef's favourites 10 course meal for around 20000 yen for each person prior to our meal. The ingredie...nts were the finest quality used and we really enjoyed the dinner served. The service was also very excellent indeed. Waiters were friendly, introduced each of the set course dish and made us have a really good time while dining in the restaurant. The ambience was great. We were accommodated into one of the large rooms inside the restaurant, very spacious and roomy. We even have enough room to walk around while digesting the food in our stomachs afterwards. Overall, we really enjoyed the meal in this restaurant. It's definitely a must to visit the restaurant once despite the 'quite-expensive' prices in the set meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for friends and families.
