“Interesting variety of dishes”
This is the first restaurant we went to with out hiking group and must say I was pretty impressed. It's a short walk from our hotel in the back streets chock full of restaurants and eateries. This is in a building on the 5th floor so unless you know where to go not something you'd walk by and check... out. It is a chain in a number of cities and locations and offers bar or izakaya type modern Japanese cuisine which is interesting as many other traditional ones would just have one or two types of specialty food such as either sushi or tempura. The dishes were all quite varied and interesting with Japanese characteristics so this is a good type of restaurants to go if you want a break from traditional eateries. The dining room set up is a bit unusual, not sure if all their outlets are like this, probably good for privacy, with low walls hanging down from the ceiling somewhat shielding the guests at each table also acting as a buffer for noise but just need to remember so you don't inadvertently bump your head.
