“Halal Kaiseki - highly recommended”
Osaka has been gaining a reputation for being a Muslim-friendly city. As I was already staying at Hotel Granvia Osaka, I was keen to try their halal kaiseki (Japanese cuisine). From the start, the process was a smooth one, when I wrote in to make a reservation, and when I came, the service provided ...by the staff was top-notch. The meal, it goes without saying, did not disappoint. The ingredients were fresh and the food was prepared with care - carrying all the hallmarks of Japanese hospitality. If you chose the full kaiseki, please come hungry! I can't predict the menu as it was indicated as seasonal (hence the chestnuts in my meal), but you can be sure you'll be given a good treat and a lot of pampering. After my visit, the manager even followed up with an email checking on my experience at the restaurant. It goes without saying that if you are a Muslim visitor in Osaka, I'd put this as a must-have on your trip itinerary. It's not necessarily cheap (it is a higher-end restaurant affiliated with a hotel) but so worth the visit. In fact, when I arrived, the staff and manager made it clear they were keen to serve Muslim visitors and asked how they could improve their service even more. They are keen to build this market and Muslim visitors should definitely support them. Note: You must inform the restaurant at least 4 days in advance for them to prepare a halal meal.

“Very nice experience”
We ordered a dinner menu and all what we had has been greatly presented. Dishes were very tasty and the atmosphere very quiet and relaxed. We greately enjoyed our dinner.
