Setsugetsuka HANARE

It's the latest branch from Setsugekka, providing both a modern and simplistic vibe for the dining experience. Reservation is highly recommended to ensure your seating. The reservation page provides English translation so should be no problem with foreigners, and you need to secure your booking with... a valid credit card, and you are free to pay your bills on-site with your credit card or cash. Setsugekka Hanareh is slightly farther than any other branches, it's about 10 minutes walk from JR Sannomiya station, and it's located on the 8th floor. The service here is phenomenal and the servicewomen and chefs are all familiar with English, at least part of it, so it's totally ok to communicate in English with them. You need to select one of the sets during your reservation, however, it's still ok to change on-site if the situation permitted. We ordered the chef's recommendation set, and it's amazingly delicious. The set includes an entree, salad, foie gras and scallops (these 2 are chosen from 4 different selections), veggie, a dish in western and eastern fusion, the steak (either from 120g of sirloin or 80g of tenderloin), rice and pickles, soup, coffee, and dessert. The overall amount of the set is quite sufficient. What amazed me most are the foie gras and steak. Foie gras is slightly crispy on the outside but creamy and tender on the inside, and the flavor and aroma are strong and sensational. The steak is so tender, juicy, and it just melts in your mouth with the exact matureness handled by the chef. One of the enjoyments of dining in Teppanyaki restaurant is to be able to watch the performance from the chef taking serious care of your food. It's an art combining with techniques and dedication. Indeed an amazing culinary experience at Setsugekka Hanareh.
