“Fried Stuff”
At this area, everywhere is selling Kushikatsu. You wouldn't know which one to choose. We googled and then went for this. Later we only found that, actually this shop have plenty of branches across Namba area. The one we went was so small the shop where i think only can fit around 10 people. Despi...te the small dining area, the food is actually good. The deep fried skewer doesn't taste oily at all, you still able to taste the food itself. It's kinda with tempura.

“The Real Deal”
There are a number of other kushikatsu restaurants in the area. I actually went to another for a long time because they had outdoor seating. There's nothing better then drinking outdoors while the various characters of shinsekai stroll on by. The food wasn't special and the service was bad at those ...places. Luckily for me, they removed the outdoor seating, which served as an impetus to take my family to Kushikatsu Daruma. The service was prompt and professional and the kushikatsu were in a league of their own. My wife loved the hotaruika (firefly squid), which is seasonal. I loved the shiso-wrapped chicken, beef filet, mochi, and red ginger the most, but they were all great. The drinks were refreshing after spending the day next door at spa world, as well. I had my fill of green tea plum wine and naoshichi chuuhai, which was a sudachi-based alcoholic drink. We left here fat and happy.

“Fried skewers”
You can see many restaurants selling these fried skewers around Shinseikai area. Menu is extensive, ranging from poultry, meat, seafood and vegetables. Relatively cheap and addictive to eat. Probably not for anyone who is careful with food hygiene, the dipping sauce is actually shared. It is on th...e table and not changed. You are supposed to dip it once per skewer, but you never know if anyone dip it for the second time after their first bite. For this restaurant, they don't serve plain water. And tea is actually more expensive than a seafood skewer. The restaurant also smelt a little bad as the kitchen is open and you can feel your face a bit oily after a while.

“Great spot for kushikatsu”
It is more expensive than the other places in shinsekai serving kushikatsu (deep fried skewers)...expect to wait a bit but they are very efficient...I would recommend one of the sets with 9 to 15 skewers...everything was very tasty...

“Fried Food Forever”
I'm a Japanese food junkie. I can eat it every day. But of course no one makes Japanese food like the Japanese, and their fried stuff in their signature sauce is just sooo good. I got thw biggest set and though humongous was enjoyable to the end. in the middle of Osaka there are 2 Dar...umas; one on Dotonburi with the other famous Osaka yummies, and theres a morl quiet one in the middle of Shinshaibashi, where it might be easier to get a table. Suffer the line, its worth it.
