“Mmh... We Loved It!”
A Japanese treat introduced to us by our friend Masayuki who took us to this place after a long day of sightseeing... We had absolutely no idea what to expect in this Izakaya-style restaurant. It was packed and steamy but we were lucky enough to get a table upstairs. He ordered a variety of the deep...-fried sticks and explained to us how to dip them (once only!) into the dark sauce and what to do with the cabbage leaves. We enjoyed the noisy atmosphere and we enjoyed the meal. My favourite kushikatsu was lotus roots and the only one I did not like was the sausage stick. It may not be the healthiest food but once in a while it will do you no harm. And for first timers Daruma sure is the best choice.

“Hm.. perhaps not the chain kushikatsu”
We visited here 4 years ago and we enjoyed it thus we came back again however we were kind of disappointed. They are not “not good”, just don’t think it was as good. We had kushikatsu in a small family-owned restaurant the other day and we enjoyed it a lot. Perhaps the chained restaurant just don’t ...suit us anymore.

“Fried everything”
The line moved quickly and service was very efficient. We tried a number of traditional bites and had a good chuckle at the instructions!

“Great place ”
A great way to taste these fried-everything on sticks. You get to taste a lot of different things. The place is fun and very relaxed, and full of people.

“Really good kushikatsu”
We tried kushikatsu for the 1st time and loved it. The menu is self explanatory and everything is explained in English.
