“Best Kushikatsu in Dotombori!”
This is my favorite restaurant in Dotombori! They have the greatest selection of deliciously battered and deep fried meat, seafood, fish, vegetables, cheeses, eggs, and rice cakes...the chicken meatball is my favorite! We ordered a set from the menu to save money and then just ordered more skewers ...of our favorites. The food always comes quickly and you can ask the server what each item is as it is disguised in the breading. The dipping sauce is renowned for its amazingly delicious flavor! If you are in Dotombori I highly recommend Ganso Kushikatsu Daruma!

“Good, quick, casual food”
The food was excellent, service was quick, and we just kept ordering more and more. There was a lot of variety of fried skewers and there was something for everyone. I personally liked the beef skewer and the sausage and cheese skewer.

“Favourite meal in Japan”
Absolutely incredible, definitely go. We went at about 5:30pm and waited 30min to get in, well worth it. You’re given a screen to order from and English is available. You can choose to have just about anything fried and it’s all amazing. My favourites were the pig neck, mozzarella and A-grade Japane...se beef. Ordered two rounds of about 10 skewers each time as well as drinks and paid about AUD60.

“Decently delicious deep fried skewered meat and veggies”
I've never had kushikatsu before and I decided to bring my brothers here after watching YouTubers rave about the place. I was also curious about it after seeing it pop up in the Yakuza series of video games. There was quite a long line for the place during the New Year's holiday period and one of th...e restaurant workers took our orders right outside. We were seated in one of the upstairs tables and had to remove our shoes for the tatami mats. The food came out quick and it was hot and pleasantly delicious. The place can be quite stuffy though and proper ventilation seems to be an issue for obvious reasons. They really emphasize to NEVER double dip your food which makes perfect sense since the sauce is kept in a communal tub that other people after you would use. Service is excellent as always. Just stick with one of the set menu items to try a good variety of deep fried food.

“It's a mixed bag!”
It's a mixed bag, not as good as tempura IMO but the train conveyor belt is fun. Does taste better with an ice cold beer though!
