“Delicious Kushikatsu!”
This popular kushikatsu skewer restaurant located on the 10th floor of LUCUA in Osaka's Umeda Station. Since we went on a weekend evening, there was a long line and it took about 40 minutes to get in. The skewers are thick and filling, and the menu has a wide variety of items, including the popular ..."original skewers" and "Camembert cheese" skewers. I recommend ordering cabbage, it goes very well with the sauce!

“Not bad but got a queue”
Just tried this. Simple deep fried food but with the sauce, its quite tasty. Not too bad but there is a queue. Be prepared to wait.

“Excellent Kushikatsu”
Wow this is an awesome restaurant. Such tasty Kushikatsu. Located on Level 10 of the Lucua Department store above Osaka station. I got there at 12pm and there was a huge queue. Took 55 minutes to get inside but well worth the wait. Delicious food. Great service. They have an English menu and take y...our order when you are in the queue so the food is pretty much ready as you sit down. Highly recommended.

“Meats, veg and seafood breaded and deep fried... a sure-fire winner!”
We started queuing at 7 pm and as we got closer to the front of the line a waitress helped take down our orders... very efficient and a good way to maximise their turnover. Our other observation was that my wife and I were the oldest customers. Everyone else was in their 20s or 30s ... the time when... you can eat fried food, down it with cool beer and not worry about cholesterol, slowing metabolisms and muffin tops. So we pretended that we were young and hip and enjoyed ourselves immensely. It's cheap and cheerful and was worth the wait in the long queue. Light, not oily and served with a side lettuce, it's delicious. (We've passed by these types of restaurants quite a few times in Osaka and there's always a queue so make sure you don't mind waiting 30 mins or so). Total dinner bill (for two): JPY4,000 (two set combos and two small beers).

“A Branch of well-known Kushikatsu chain”
Kushikatsu Daruma, based in Shisekai, Osaka, is a well-known Kushikatsu (deep- fried skewer) chain. One of its branches is located inside Lucua, a shopping complex just adjacent to JR Osaka station. The waiting line is usually long, but don't have to worry. The flow of customers is quicker than you ...imagine. There are some economical set menus.
