“Good”
Good kushikatsu. A bit greasy. The recommended 9 piece set is more than enough for one person. Very friendly and helpful staff.

“A little disappointed...”
Daruma Shinsaibashi is the place where we would go for our kushikatsu fix when we are in Osaka. With ice cold beer, few other foods can compare with these fried stuff on skewers. We simply love Daruma. Needless to say, it's one of our, MY must-do everytime I get into Osaka. This last trip was no... different. We are at this branch of Daruma... but was somewhat disappointed. Whilst the skewers were still good, I was disappointed with some subtle differences. Like they didn't put a layer of waxvpaper to soak up the grease from the skewers this time. Why was that important? So that our fried skewers wouldn't "sit" in the grease and become soggy 😔 Then there was one other subtle difference. The tray where the skewers came in were not warmed any more. Which meant our skewers got cold faster in the freezing restaurant. Subtle changes, Big impact.

“Piss poor attitude and service! ”
This place is extremely popular and always has a lineup so we decided to try it when it wasn’t so busy. Unfortunately upon entering we noticed that their service was poor and most of the staff seemed like they hated working there. The food itself was okay but I had tried 2 other kushikatsu places pr...ior to this and they were much better. The batter is too thick and greasy, quality isn’t that good either. Take your business elsewhere to smaller kushikatsu restaurants that actually give a damn about you and the quality of their food. Trust me you won’t regret it till you try.

“Taste is not bad But Unfriendly, No hospitality.”
The Japanese staff members are not polite, not friendly, don't smile and bad hospitality especially for the guests who come first time, who don't know this restaurant. They never show the table, just say "Go upstairs". Later I was said "Go downstairs" when arrived at 2nd floor. They do not smile,... looks very very busy and tired, frustrated The taste is not bad, it is good, but it is just average level of Kushikatsu restaurant. Prices are as well. Or more expensive. However, one foreign staff member was friendly. I was supposed to give only one star, but gave 1 more star since her service. The cabbage is important item of Kushikatsu restaurant, but it was never served until she noticed it had not served yet. No water was served even this restaurant is in Japan. So, this is not recommendable restaurant if you mind service or atmosphere. If you mind only taste, then no problem.
