YubanzaiKomameya Nishikimise

Yubanzai Restaurant Komameya in the Nishiki area of Kyoto was a great find. It specializes in Yuba, the soft sheets of soybean milk made in Kyoto. We were walking around the neighborhood west of Nishiki Market near Daimaru and came upon the restaurant sign, and went upstairs to the 3rd floor to ...find a spacious, well appointed restaurant, you'll sit at the table with a sunken kotatsu in the middle, with your legs stretched underneath. Choices for dinner include the set course including meat and seafood for $70 but you can opt for the vegetarian set for about $35 or $50 too. Fantastic quality and open for lunch too. Near Karasuma station on Hankyu Kyoto Line.
