I visited this restaurant with my boss and coworkers. It is a good choice for date as well. I liked the atmosphere and the food was descent. Price was a bit high but I think it was worth it.

Xex is an Italian Restaurant and is located on the 9th floor of the far eastern building of the Herbis Plaza complex. It is just a short 7 minute walk from the south exit of the Osaka train station and is also close to a few Metro stations. This is a high end restaurant and all the customers were ...relatively well dressed. I dined here on a Tuesday evening in mid-November with some co-workers and really enjoyed the food, the service and the overall dining experience. There were lots of fixed price items on the menu and we all had the most expensive choice. Since there were lots of courses this option came with way too much food. The meal started with fresh bread and the starter was a small 4 cheese pizza. This was followed by a pasta dish and then the main course was steak. I was full after the pasta and forgot that we were still getting steak. For desert I had a frozen Kiwi with some type of Kiwi ice cream or pudding. I was actually so full from the other courses that I only had one small bite (and I did not care for it). I really enjoyed the pasta and thought the steak was really good. While the food was good it was very expensive (but worth it). Overall I really enjoyed Xex and recommend it and I plan on going back on my next Osaka trip. To make the experience even better, the staff was friendly and very efficient.

Good food. Clean and elegant atmosphere, dining inside. Charming terrace, where having a drink with a great panorama. Good service. Waiters very kind and available. Reasonably prices.

Went here on recommendation of a friend who isn't really into Japanese food. It's a high end place, which is actually two restaurants, one Japanese and one Italian. There is a bar which is between the two which has live music, and it has a balcony. Its definitely a higher end place, and on the l...ist of places to go and be seen in Osaka. Ate at the Italian, and chose the fixed menu, which comprised of a choice of starter, pizza or pasta, then a main and a dessert and coffee. I can't remember the starter (sorry!), both chose pizza, which was about the side of a side place (so small), but it was very good. I chose the 4 cheese, and it tasted good, had a thinner crust, and was freshly made. I had a fish main, my friend had steak. Both were good, but the veggies/potato was tiny, like literally a spoonful. Dessert was a limited choice, I skipped it, because there wasn't anything tempting. Went to the bar afterwards, had a few drinks. Excellent people watch. Overall, an interesting night, not a place to really hurry back to.
