“A must try!”
While in Kobe you must try one of the famous Kobe beef! Wagyu is a black cattle breed from the Kobe district, known for its fantastic meat quality. It definitely lived up to our expectations. The meat is so moist and tender and tastes amazing.

“Excellent Kobe beef”
Conveniently located in the mall next to Shin-Kobe. We booked a day ahead for an early dinner. The restaurant was empty so we had very attentive staff and the full Chef experience. The Kobe beef tenderloin and sirloin were beyond expectations. The set meal was extensive and the Chef advised us on fo...od pairing. House wine is reasonable given it is a high end restaurant. Finished with a complimentary personalised dessert as it was one of our birthdays. Undoubtedly expensive but pricing on web-site and menus is transparent - highly recommend it.

“Usually great steak, but will now avoid it for everything else”
The chefs prepare steak with respect and culinary grace. The wait staff is wonderful and prompt. But everything else is well below standard. The standard appetizer was an unappetizing serving of poorly smoked salmon on onions. So, I ordered a shrimp appetizer but they were "sold out" (at 5:30pm). T...his is the second time I've been here over the past six months and it was also sold out six moths ago. Instead, I ordered the abalone. It was terrible. It came to the teppan already cooked - so not fresh. The chef just dumped it out of its shell and then just cut it into large chucks that were served in a butter sauce. The chunk were still cold, tasteless, and were truly as difficult to chew as tire rubber. I could not eat it. I ordered an A4 filet for dinner. It was not what I was served. I instead got something that looked and tasted like US Choice beef and it was cut from the head and not the center. I was prepared well but did not measure up to expectations. It was almost as disappointing as the greasy and flavorless garlic fried rice. Disappointing indeed.

“Very good teppan food”
Expensive, naturally for Kobe beef, food very good, busy with good ambience, wine 'close your eyes expensive' but ok...why is wine so expensive in Japan in a restaurant compared with at an off licence, would have drunk less beer and more wine but for astonishing cost ...... usually a measure is 80ml... or 8-9 glasses per bottle.. a recipe for cutting down the intake.
