“Nice deck overlooking the lake”
The restaurant has some good dishes but it is a little on the expensive side. The staff are friendly but language ability was a problem using English.

“Fantastic Food, Drinks and a great view of the lake too”
We stumbled across this place having been too late for the buffet at the prince hotel (v nearby) and what a lucky stumbling it was. The food, drinks and service was fantastic. We enjoyed the schnitzel platter and the belly pork and also the German beer was great. We sat outside enjoying a view o...f the lake. The staff were very accommodating of us providing English menu's and translating for us the dishes of the day etc. Would fully recommend to anyone, especially westerners like us who were taking a short break from Japanese food.

“A good range of beer and delicious food. ”
We found the service to be wonderful here. The waitresses were very keen to help out and provided English menus. There was a good beer list and the food was delicious. We had a pretzel, the pork knuckle and a breaded pork. The servings were very generous.

“Great alternative”
A great alternative to asian food while in Kyoto. The kids loved the Wienerschnitzel with potatoes. Menue is in japanese and german.
