Gyoza-no Katsuo Kintetsuabeno

Went to this place by mistake - and what a mistake. I should have known that a place virtually empty at 7pm on a Wednesday meant something was off. First problem was with ordering. I have little Japanese and the server had little English. This has not been a problem before because just pointing and ...indicating how many with fingers has done the trick. However, this time somehow my indication on the `english menu of 4 pieces of fried chicken was met with a shake of the head and indicate of 5 pieces. OK. I then tried to order the scallops fried in butter. This required another server whose English was good. She took down the order. In the meantime my ordered beer and some not ordered Endamane were delivered. Soon two trays of chicken were slapped down: one tray of 5 fried chicken pieces and the other of 4 chicken legs. They were hot that is for sure. They tasted of being deep fried. I finished this when another dish appeared with three scallops and two blackened mushrooms on a liquid charcoal sauce. I tried one but it just tasted of burnt. I had the distinct impression I was the but of a joke. I have been in Japan 8 days in various cities and this is the first time I have come across such poor quality food and unhelpful staff.
