I enjoyed yakitori and a few chicken dish with my wife. We enjoyed yakitori, tataki, salad. All dish was well cooked and service was also quick!

I asked the concierge at the Ritz-Carlton where I should go for some yakatori and they recommended Takatori. It was a good choice. Basically, the restaurant is a bar that serves all kinds of chicken skewers. There is a bar to sit at where you can watch the guys cook. There are western style tables.... And, there is Japanese style seating. The atmosphere is very lively and everyone seems to be having a good time. I had never had yakatori before, but I really enjoyed this restaurant. All of the skewers are cooked over a wood fire. All were tender and juicy. I had heart, liver, skin, thigh, breast, tail, fried wings with pepper, and quail eggs. Everything was quite good, but my favorites were the heart, skin, and fried wings. The heart looked like beef on the skewer and almost tasted like it. It was very meaty and juicy. The skin was super crispy with the fatty goodness you want from chicken skin. The fried wings with pepper may have been the best chicken wings I've ever had. The meat almost fell off the bone. The flavor was outstanding!!! I've had chicken wing several different places in Japan and they completely blow the socks off any chicken wings I've had in the U.S. The restaurant is a short walk from the Ritz- Carlton and not very far from the Osaka Station or the Umeda-Nishi subway station.

A great izakaya, friendly staff and English menus. Food is delicious and staff friendly. Nice noisy cheerful atmosphere. Very crowded when I was there so I guess others agree. Reasonably priced.
