“Fantastic experience!”
What an amazing experience... Beautifully arranged traditional Japanese restaurant. A wonderful selection of amazing dishes.... Service is fast and friendly. Food arrived beautifully plated. The drinks are amazing and delicious.... Overall it was an amazing experience and for sure it is a place to c...ome back.

“Good, quick and cheap”
Thanks to trip advisor, we decide to try it and we were not disapointed. It was so nice that we went back the day after. We wera in a small room (shared with 2 or 3 other persons), on a separate table and sit on the ground (there is enouh place below the table for our legs!) Many choice of japanese... dishes, well prepared and quick service. Staff is kind. Cherry on the cake, it is cheap. Then we recommand it but don't forget to request for non smoking area. Otherwise, you could be on same room that smokers, which is less "fun".

“Good Food but, smoky”
The food was good, the staff friendly and sent over the best-English speaking waitress which really helped. We had a nice view of the town and the food came fast and delicious. Only thing when we were almost done a couple sat down and started smoking next to us, so we left. But, that is Japan. Lu...ckily we were almost done.

“Bad experience”
First of all, the menu prices after seating are nothing even close to what are presented outside. The air was really bad due to smoking. Even though the staff switched us to a "nonsmoking" area, we still smelled smoking. The waitresses took care of Japanese customers first even though they were seat...ed much later than we did. We decided to order a few orders of sushi and intended to get out quickly. However, these handful pieces of sushi seemed to take forever to make. I would never revisit this restaurant and will never recommend this one to anyone.

“Delicious yet inexpensive izakaya near JR Kyoto station”
were last here in April 2015. apart from the normal menu, there's this special menu with items served in feb only. ordered sashimi, special items such as fried oyster with onion pancake, fried whitebait with local vege, tempura, grilled fish and cold sake. This izakaya is spacious enough to accommod...ate more than 500+ ppl, with a nostalgic ambience.
