Shabu shabu was quite nice first night but return second night was disappointing- seaweed wrapper for tuna roll was very tough- hard to chew and roll size was too big, resulting in nearly impossible to eat any of the pieces without being a mess. (Never had this issue in any other restaurant.) One p...iece of a 6 pc mixed sushi was quite difficult to chew apart. Suspect that it was poorly prepared, but the other 5 pieces were ok. Crust of the little pizza was a tough chew also. Local residents at other tables did not appear as challenged as I, so I’m not sure that my evaluation is an accurate portrayal

Local hangout for good Japanese food. variety of food available, big n spacious with nice Japanese decor. Not too expensive. Located On the other side of the train station.

Stopped here after visiting Kyoto on a day-trip. The food was quite good, the meat and broth especially. The was polite and attentive, however the lady who did the seating and who you paid at the end was... not rude exactly, but very impatient. I would be more understanding if the place was busy, b...ut there were MAYBE two other customers that I could see. She did speak good English, and they do take credit cards which is a plus.

Delicious, yet simple, noodle based dished. A great variety of options - all yummy. English menu available. Staff extremely welcoming.
