“The Japanese really know how to do steak.”
Above the choices on the English menu it said, "Black hair beef, very similar to Kobe." They are correct. Japanese beef seems to be marbled more than US beef and brings along that glorious taste we used to get before we were convinced that only lean beef would keep us alive. This was our kind of b...ackstreet restaurant, beef and veggies cooked on your own grill on the counter by your assigned chef. Perfect. Beef isn't cheap in Japan. We had strips Japanese style and a small fillet mignon with two medium beers for $87. But remember, no tipping. Certainly comparable to home in price but not of course in ambience.
