There are a few Gyoza-no-Osho restaurants in Kyoto. This one is next to a large temple. From the window of the upstairs seating, you can see the temple buildings while you eat. Orders came quickly, service was good, and food was good. Prices are reasonable for a restaurant in Kyoto, which can be exp...ected of a chain restaurant.

We loved this place so much that we ate here 3 nights in a row. Easy to find right next to Yasaka shrine. Big red characters on a white sign. Kawamura -san was such a great fun personality and even remembered us and our orders right away!! They even checked thoroughly for dairy ingredients to accomm...odate my severe lactose intolerance. (I showed them a screenshot of the translation since they don't speak much English but with Google it was easy!) They are very kind and fast and affordable! Love it here- 10/10

Came here tonight for a meal after a busy day of sightseeing around Kyoto. Couldn’t rate this place highly enough! Staff were friendly and tried to make the language difference as easy as possible. Food was super quick to arrive and was soooo tasty. We had a selection of foods which we have tried a...t home, but much much better quality and at extremely reasonable prices. Looked like a local favourite which tells you all you need to know. We will be returning here before we leave Kyoto.

We were really tired from going around the whole day and this was close to our hotel. Some of the near by local Izakayas rejected us from going saying that they were full or hesitant seeing that we were foreigners even though we speak perfect Japanese having lived there. After getting frustrated, we... made our way here. Everybody was super friendly and the service was amazing. The food was delicious and will definitely recommend. We love Gyoza so this was an amazing choice. I think we repeated the gyoza order 3 times!

Last time I was in Kyoto, about 6 years ago, an expat recommended this place for gyoza. Went then for lunch and was looking forward to returning there on this trip. It did not disappoint. The gyoza was just as good as I remembered. And what a great value too! If and when I make it back to Kyoto..., I will once again return here for my gyoza fix. We also tried the sweet and sour pork, came out looking exactly like it did on the picture menu, and was very tasty too. If you are looking for cheap eats, where we witnessed a lot of locals eating too, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It is very easy to find, as it is right at the Gion Bus stop next to the Yasaka-Jinja Shrine/Nishiroman Gate.
