Kizano

This restaurant is run by a couple - the wife is the hostess, waiter and face of the business and her husband is the chef. The cuisine is French-Japanese fusion. Our hostess spoke very limited English and we spoke no Japanese - so we just went with one of the three options (described as fish, cow... and beef) - the beef (not knowing how it differed from the cow). We had a 4 course dinner which included a delicious escargot in a puff pastry appetizer! I was actually glad to learn afterwards it was escargot... The presentation was generally Japanese in style, but the dishes incorporated elements of both. Our hostess was very gracious.
