“Fantastic meal!”
This restaurant is a short walk (abt 10 min) south of the Kyoto station. It’s a fusion of Korean BBQ and japanese BBQ. We had a fantastic meal and particularly loved the steak tartare. It’s incredible w japanese Wagyu meat. We arrived at 8:30 pm on a Friday evening and while packed managed to... get a seat. But we suggest reservations if u plan to hv an earlier dinner

“Hidden Gem in Kyoto”
Highly recommend this place. It was a bit hard to pin down but eventually turned out to be just a few minutes walk from our hotel (Glanz Kei). Staff had very little English and we had no Japanese but no problems. They do have an English menu. Service was very good, food was outstanding. The charcoal... grill is a very nice touch. The four of us had a generous quantity of food and drink and still paid only about 16000 yen. I would call that a very good deal given the quality of the food. It was a bit crowded and they apparently do not take reservations, but we were asked to come back in 15 min and they had a table ready for us when we returned.
