“Authentic and hospitable.”
Go here!!! We loved it! The atmosphere was so comfortable, the food was amazing, the staff were so kind. A truly authentic, hospitable experience tucked away in a cute little neighborhood.

This was a small, very clean and delicious sushi restaurant! The sushi was incredible and the service was really great!

“Kyoto Sushi”
Absolutely amazing and fresh sushi. The staff is very friendly with efficient English with someone who does speak more fluently than the rest. We did manage to communicate well via Google translate. The staff is very hospitable and we ended up actually getting a complementary sashimi tray to go wit...h our meal. The staff of waitresses Akie and her sister Mikiyo were an absolute delight. The sushi chef Kanji created amazing meal. We’re looking forward to returning there on our next trip to Kyoto.

“Yamani Sushi has moved to a new address.”
ATTENTION!!! Yamani Sushi" relocated and reopened at a new location in May 2024. The new sushi restaurant is situated at the corner of Demizu Street and Kuromon Street. They continue to offer the same friendly service and delicious dishes that will surely create wonderful memories of Kyoto for ...you. Please note that while a different sushi restaurant will open at this old location, it is not affiliated with "Yamani Sushi." You can enjoy their traditional and exquisite sushi at their new address.

“Hidden restaurant with delicious sushi”
I accidentally went inside this restaurant and I definitely didn’t regret it! The staff was very nice and the sushi sooo delicious - some of the best I’ve had! I ordered a set and the chef was very kind to show me how to eat it (even though I told him I already knew). Can only recommend it 🍣
