“A true taste of Japanese cousin”
A taste of authentic Japanese cuisine. If you visit this restaurant, be prepared to use your Google Translate because they only speak Japanese. However, they do have some partial menus in English, and the waitstaff are so eager to help that they will do everything to understand you. Also, stretch b...efore you come because you will be eating on tatami mats. The 7-course menu offers an overview of various dishes. The "bonito sashimi" is outstanding! Highly recommended!

“AVOID if you are a tourist”
AVOID! This place is the typical touristic trap. They ask you to pay tourists for a fixed menu with microscopic portions and are very unclear about their pricing. Sneaky. This is the first time that I post a review about a bad experience hoping that it will help other people being cheated just beaca...use they are tourists.

“Japanese dreams”
Found this little place in a small side road and we were amazed. You eat japanese style, take of your shoes etc you it in front of the chefs almost like teppanyaki. They only got one menu of like eight dishes. Everything was amazing. My favorites were the black sesame ice cream dessert, best tempura... ever tried and a salad with an amazing balsam vinegar?? I asked the chef for the vinegar recipe but communication was limited to japanese and laughters (:

“Beautiful restaurant mediocre food”
I thought we'd be in for a treat when we peered into this moody, cozy izakaya restaurant. They were booked up Saturday, so we made a reservation for the following evening. We were handed the English menu which was in fact a set menu with no options. The food was a not great iteration of very traditi...onal cuisine--sweet water fish tasted muddy and the rice/miso course just awful to my palate...the rice was served as tea rice but tasted like it had been soaking in like warm water. This could have been, again, my lack of understanding of izakaya food. That said, the Japanese patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves.

“Lucky find ”
I agree that had the full menu been translated we would have tried additional dishes but the set menu with 6 courses was excellent, the staff were very helpful, and to sit with locals around the bar watching the chefs was a privilege.
