“Michelin quality meals with a welcoming vibe”
If you are even in Uji (matcha capital of Japan 🍵) for a day, you will be thrilled with either lunch or dinner here! It was so cozy and the food was Michelin quality (I lived in Japan for a year so, I can speak with a little experience) and so, made a reservation daily for my entire trip, trying di...fferent “set” meals and an epic “melt-in-your-mouth” Unagi dinner. The cool couple who run it could boast that they trained their son to open a highly rated sushi restaurant in Toronto but, because of their casualness, wouldn’t think of it. Their welcoming personalities make you feel at home right away. The wife, Yukko even rides a motorcycle! 🏍️ Highly recommended!

“Local produce as a 10 course+ Kaiseki”
Beautiful food & taste. Uji matcha to dip for the tempura is a surprise! Tourists don’t know this spot. Reasonable price. Close to Uji station. Hasegawa Restaurant
