Gyu-Kaku Nambadotomboriebisubashi

This is Gyukaku; they have locations around the world. They specialize in cheap, all-you-can-eat/drink yakiniku. While they have different grades of meat you can order from, you come here NOT for quality but for volume. Don't expect Wagyu or the best cuts of meat. You get lots of heavily seaso...ned food that pairs well with booze. This location is right in the middle of the busiest tourist thoroughfare in Dotonbori. Reservation is recommended, but most do not, so expect a wait, especially during peak times. If you have a larger group, this place can accommodate. They will give you a whole area with multiple BBQs. Strong recommendation if you have a group with picky eaters, they can choose the things they can eat. Gyukaku has really reasonable pricing. You get 90 minutes, order all you want to eat. The only rule is that you must finish everything that you order. They only put a 2 per person limit on the desserts. You can get away with spending less than ¥5,000 per person. As for the food, they have all the basics. Everything was exactly what they offered. It was great for the young people who were with us. While I would never go to Gyukaku alone, I highly encourage you to come here if you have young people with large appetites, are budget-conscious, or are not foodies who care about the quality of cuts. These guys know how to satisfy their target demographic.

The all you can eat option was okay, offering a decent variety overall. The well working grill without smelling clothes was a big plus, making the experience much more pleasant. The staff were absolutely friendly, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. Most of the meat was okay, except for the Wag...yu, which unfortunately looked like low-budget quality. The 70 minutes dining time felt a bit short to fully enjoy everything. In general, okay experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

We got the gyukaku meal seat for 3 pax (essentially you can order as much as you want from the menu items given) + bottomless drinks. It was horrible quality and service! The meats were frozen & to top it off they did not give us all the meat we ordered. For example when I ordered via ipad app 2ser...vings of each kind of meat, only 1 came out. Service was slow & my son had to stop eating several time because we ran out of food! Terrible! My husband had to pay 11500 yen for the lousy meal, the most expensive meal we’ve had so far & the overall experience is a busy. Such a waste of good money & time.

Wow, what terrible service for my family of 10. We were in Japan for 12 days to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday and everywhere we went, every person we met, was so kind and welcoming. This place was horrible. The workers were absolutely rude and made fun of us, didn't serve us. Had to constantly ...ask for help. Meats came out late or not at all. Very unaccommodating and sadly, this was our most expensive meal in Japan. Similar to what we would have paid at the Gyu-Kaku here in the US. This is a hard pass.

Don’t know why service was below average and you needed to request rather server offered it initially and proactively. Maybe they were lacking of staff. You could have variety of beef and average taste.
