Ichiaki

I was really keen to try okonomyaki so a quick google and this place came up. Downstairs to the restaurant which probably last had the walls and ceiling cleaned and painted twenty years ago! The food was good, tasty but I have no idea if it was authentic as it was my first. I’d recommend going there..., as long as you don’t look too close at anything other than your hot plate 😅

The restaurant is downstairs from Somoncho-Dori but once downstairs, the doors open out to the riverside. Friendly staff. Great traditional food and a really enjoyable and fun experience. Restaurant could do with a lick of paint, but if you look passed that you will be in for an Okonomiyaki treat.

What a fantastic restaurant - tucked away below street level on one side and on the waterfront at the other side. You may have to queue for a table, but it is definitely worth the wait. Menus are available in English and the staff are really friendly and patient. We ordered the family set and an ext...ra okonomayaki for four of us. The seafood was fresh and we were told how long to cook it for on the tepanyaki hot plate. Water is provided free, good drinks selection on offer too. Steep stairs down from street level. You can see into the kitchen area and there are tables four upto 4 and upto 6. Single toilet stall beside the stairs. Very happy to recommend.

外国人スタッフの接客はよかったです。 女性のパートさんの接客も良かったです。 でも、男性の従業員（社員のように見えました）は案内が賢くないですね…。微妙だし 接客が分からない場合は、外国人スタッフや女性のパートさんに確認してください〜 今後の改善を期待しています。 頑張ってください。 The customer service from the foreign staff was excellent, and the female part-time staff also provided great service. However, the male employee (he see...med like a full-time staff member) wasn’t very competent in giving guidance. His attitude was a bit off, and he was surprisingly unfriendly to foreigners.

Great Okonomiyaki restaurant in Dotonbori. Great service and the Okonomiyaki tasted very well! Will come back again.
