“Good place”
Good place for lunch at reasonable price around Gion area. Ouside is simple but do not hesitate to enter.

“Delicious and affordable!”
My husband and I went here last night. We ordered two okonomiyaki to split, some rice, pickles, two beers, and a soda. It came to 36,000 yen, which was quite reasonable. The staff were polite and attentive and understood just enough English. The menu has English, but no lists of ingredients for ...anyone with food issues.

“Excellent local choice.”
Arrived here completely by chance. They had an English menu but also only locals inside with kids running around. I thought that was a good omen that it wouldnt be obvious tourist trap food. The dishes I had tasted like some simple home cooking, and for two full dishes and a beer for less than 2000...yen, I was very happy. Service was good, and they seemed very happy to welcome me in. Highly recommended.

“Excellent betayaki (and English menu)”
This was suggested by our AirBnB host, and it did not disappoint. The bonus was that they had a full menu in English, saving us the trouble in translating.

“Great local okonomiyaki”
Hole in the wall but accommodating spot and a good cheap lunch spot to try this speciality of filling pancakes with cabbage and other fillings. No frills, English menu, but hearty and good fun
