“Delicious and great value for money!”
Chander has an extensive menu of curries, tandoori and appetizers, and offers several sets for both lunch and dinner. In the evening, I had a vegetarian set for just under 1300 yen, which included two delicious curries, a salad, huge portion of naan bread (plain, cheese or honey - the cheese naan is... incredible!), rice, a veggie samosa and a drink (I picked a chai latte). They even had a strawberry lassi! For the curries you can choose your own level of spiciness, with options suitable for kids. The portions were quite big and I could barely finish them, which is definitely great value for the money. I especially loved the veggie curry with cauliflower and green beans. The staff is very friendly and chatted with us, so we felt very welcomed. The interior decoration really makes you feel like you’re in India, and on the TV they play Bollywood music videos. I’d definitely recommend Chander and I’m looking forward to returning.

“Solid Indian Food”
Chander is a quaint place, but the aromas are no joke. I was walking on the main road when I smelled the spices and curry and knew I had to try it. We had the chicken kadai and veggie lunch special. Both were delicious and amazing. Just wish the portions were a tad bit larger - but no complaints. Wo...uld love to eat there again. And the owner - Mr. Chander is great too.

Chandler is very close to Kyoto University and I visited there frequently during my exchange semester in Kyoto. Food is very tasty and everyone is very kind and friendly. I do miss it.
