KAMON

Patronised this establishment with my family in December 2023 after hearing from a friend from LA about how good Teppanyaki Kamon is - so I had to try this for myself. Teppanyaki Kamon Osaka, similarly to their counterpart in Tokyo is situated on a high floor in Imperial Hotel and it provides the d...iner with a good view of the city. When you get to the 24th floor, the lady at the cloak room offers to take your cloak so that you can enjoy your meal without worries. They have two teppanyaki open grills but as this was lunch time, the restaurant was not crowded and only one was used. We joined two other parties already at the open grill. We ordered the Kamon special plus the garlic fried rice which is a must. Food wise, I found it to my liking, well-seasoned, very tasty and well presented. The quality of the beef was very good and marbled throughout with the chef asking us beforehand how we wanted the beef done. As always, the spectacle is in the cooking process and that is what makes teppanyaki unique. Tourists are advised to allow a lot of time to complete the meal as this is not fast food. The other patrons look like they have nothing on for the afternoon. Beverage wise, they have a good selection of wines to pair with the meal and offer a selection of non- alcoholic beverages for those who do not take alcohol. Each course of the meal was nicely plated up and presented like a work of art. It was such a pity that we had to eat it. After we are done with the meal, we were ushered to the couch to have our desert. The wait staff were very professional, attentive and provided top- notch service. Being foreigners, the manager who could speak English provided a lot of the interpretation for us. Each dish was well explained, and I also enjoyed the interaction with the chef who was also able to converse in basic English. The best part of eating here is that we did not go away smelling like grilled meat unlike some other establishments. Kudos to the restaurant manager and the chef. Thank you for making our meal an enjoyable experience. I will definitely come back again.

The place it's really nice,its on the 24th floor so it's a really good view from the top of the building.Service was ok, the meat was good but have lot of fat. We ordered the least expensive package of food that included ,rice,shrimps,meat and we pay 52000 yens so it was too expensive for what they ...give you but the view is nice.

Good imperial treat. Meat was not extraordinary, normal fatty wagyu, well prepared by nice cook. Appetizers were nothing surprising. Nice view. Imperial treatment.

Located on level 24 of the Imperial Hotel. It has a view of the city that is hard to beat. The chef who prepares the meal also gives and excellent presentation. They have lunch menus starting from just under 10 thousand yen. And for dessert, you are invited to enjoy it in another seating area so ...that you are not stewing in the smell of food being cooked for your neighbours. Worth a visit if you are looking to try Teppanyaki. If you are not a guest at the hotel, you can pick up Imperial Hotel's regular shuttle every 15 minutes from the top of the hour at the road next to the Sakurabashi exit of Osaka Station.

excellent food and excellent wine, great view of Osaka from the 24th floor, wonderful way to spend an evening.
