“Great fun!”
Fantastic experience! In true Japanese style almost the full service was automated! A ticket machine greets you with a table number and then all orders are made on screen and come whizzing down a conveyor belt to your table! Great experience and cheap in an otherwise expensive city

“It's not the best sushi you'll have, but you'll get to try a good variety for not a lot of money”
Kura Sushi is a good place to have conveyor belt sushi because not only do you get to try this Osaka famous experience (it was invented in Osaka, I believe!), but with every 5 plates you consume, you get a chance to win a gachapon! The sushi itself is below-average compared to what you can get in ot...her sushi restaurants, but considering the price and the experience, it's reasonable. We paid about ¥2800 for 2 people and we were stuffed at the end of it. The menu is available on a tablet in a few languages, including English and Chinese, which is helpful. However, aside from that, there isn't much instruction for things like where to get utensils, how to mix tea, or even how to open the covers on the plates coming around. The servers aren't really equipped to answer any questions in a foreign language, which is understandable, but when asked, they'll do their best to help. In terms of food, there's nothing in particular that I'd recommend - perhaps the grilled eel and soft-boiled egg nigiri? - but it's cheap enough and the portions small enough for you to order anything that piques your interest. If you're looking for a cheap conveyor-belt experience, I'd recommend Kura Sushi. It's not the best sushi you'll have, but you'll get to try a good variety for not a lot of money. Personally, I'll go back just to try my hand at more gachapons!

“Yummy but unimpressed by staff”
Delicious food and fast special order delivery. Staff however was not eager to help and seemed annoyed.

“Quantity over variety”
Mostly a tasty selection not a huge variety. Some odd ones like bacon and cheese as well as cheese covered fish. If you want ¥100 yen sushi to fill your belly this place works.

“Limited variety of sushi”
We love conveyor belt sushi. But of all the sushi places we've been to in Japan, this one was the most underwhelming. We still enjoyed it. It's still fresh quality, after all, we're in Japan. But at the other sushi places, we looked forward to "what will show up next?" on the conveyor belt. Or we wo...uld keep ordering on the computer. Here, it was more of the same variety. The 3 of us normally consume 33 plates of sushi. This time, there were 4 of us, yet we only consumed 33 plates. Okay place, but could be better, could be more exciting. I guess I just expected more from Osaka, supposedly the "kitchen of Japan".
