Kura-ZushiKyotofushimi

Classic “cheap” sushi place with good quality. Compared to say... hamazushi, I’d say this was leagues better, but the same price. Good alternate options available too. Great for families or just a simple dinner.

I took my family here when visiting Kyoto for the day to see Kinkakuji and Ryoanji. This restauarant is about halfway between the two. Everyone loved it, particularly my mother-in-law who had never been to a conveyor belt sushi place before. Very reasonably priced and accessible, even if you don't ...speak Japanese (all of the ordering is done via computer, which works in several languages). Very highly recommended.

This place is good for tourists who wants to try less exotic and less expensive sushi in Kyoto. This is one of locals favourite locations to have a casual night with friends and families and enjoying cheap sushis. Wide selection of sushis, tempuras, rice dishes and desserts. The sushi cost only 80 c...ents per dish (1 or 2 sushis). They have multiple shops in town, choose the one closest to your locations.

Cheap yet delicious sushi, amazing soups, all around food, I am truly impressed. For the price I feel I paid less than I got, I went 3 days in a row and wouldn’t mind going back a 4th. Be sure to learn it’s system, and there’s the english option on the touch screen. Recommended!!!!!

We did not go to this branch, but visited the on which is less than 5min walking distance from Nijo station. Addess according to Google is 〒604-8422 Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto, Nakagyo Ward, Nishinokyo Higashigekkocho, ２２. They offer a printed English menue. All dishes on this menu have the same price...: 100 yen (tax not included). Additionally, they have other dishes above 100 yen, which can only be ordered via touchscreen (unfortunatley only in japanese, but with images). You order with the touchscreen at your table or you take whatever passes by on the belt. Every item on the belt is 100 yen. Make sure to play the game. When you start the touchscreen, it will ask you if you want to accept the game challenge. After you are done with eating, you have to slide 5 plates into the slot at your table and you can play 1 round. The touchscreen will then show you whether you have won or not. The prize is a small toy, but it is just fun to play. Very cheap prices for the food. But it seems that the quality is still great. We liked the salmon and tuna very much. The shrimp tempura was also great. Definitely worth a visit.
