Kura Sushi Otsu may not be the most elegant sushi we have ever had, but it is certainly the most fun. The restaurant is like a sushi arcade, with electronic ordering and automated delivery to your table. You can choose from pre-made selections on a conveyer belt, or order fresh from a tableside scre...en, and have it express-delivered from a different track-- lights and bells blaring to signify imminent arrival. Almost every plate (2 pieces) is 100¥, and when summoned by a button, the attendant counts the used plates and writes a check. Hot water dispensers at each table, along with a self-serve container of green tea powder, provide tea. There were numerous choices of sushi, and we finished dinner in 30 minutes for less than $6 per person. Fun, fast, and filling.
