Seki

For our one day trip in Nara we had Wagyu Steak Seki restaurant on our list. We visited the restaurant during lunch to make a reservation for dinner. The staff didn’t spoke proper English but they were helpful and patient. When we arrived for dinner the restaurant was almost empty which means we ha...d a private chef. The chef spoke a little bit English but did his best to explain the dishes and have a small conversation. The salad and small starters were tasty. But ofcourse we were here for one reason, a nice piece of wagyu beef. We choose the 200 gram sirloin. The chef did cut the steak in smaller pieces and grilled them 2 at the time. On the side he prepared a nice fried rice dish which was very tasty. The steak was tender and juicy. We didn’t had to chew as it was literally melting on our tongue. The dessert was a cherry blossom ice cream. We payed around €200 for two Seki set courses and a couple of beers.

Rejected at 7pm despite an empty restaurant. Try to get explanations, angry man did even not try to explain (as it can happen in Japan) Very disappointed.
