The food is amazing, and the service is impeccable; from the moment they took our coats to the moment they walked us to the door. The staff are attentive and nothing feels too hard. We had a lovely evening in this charming Japanese house serving French excellent food. The food was very good, the setting charming and calm, they catered from our different dietary requirements. A most enjoyable evening, deserving of your Michelin star. Well done and thank you.

This is my first trip since March 2020. Feeling really excited and grateful as I can visit Japan with my good friends. This is my first time visiting Michelin restaurants in Japan, I have done some research to find out some “must try” ones. MOTOI is one of them. Reservation was not easy as I just ha...d two days available in Kyoto. Grateful for the booking service provided by My Concierge Japan, my group of 8 was able to have a really impressive & delicious dinner at MOTOI. The restaurant ambience & decoration is very good. Excellent service from the staff. Superb cooking & artistic dish presentation from the chef & his team. A definite must go if you visit Kyoto but warn you to make early reservation.
