A selection of 11 small dishes was offer to us. The taste of all of them was very good. I definitely would recommend to have dinner here.

“Food Good but Rather Noisy Inside Restaurant”
We bumped into this place which is hidden at the end of a side street. The menu only offered meals with several courses which we like much as we want to try different food of Japan and take beautiful pictures. Price is good. We were given a cubicle/ room which is great. We ordered 11-course and 8-...course which are good and nicely presented. The pictures uploaded here tell. One thing not perfect here is that the staff are too busy (service ok and they know little enough). We always see them rush around and the restaurant is very noisy. We could hear many other customers around although we were already in a cubicle.

“Local recommended, wonderful experience ”
We came here from a recommendation from one of my Japanese colleagues. The signage isn’t super clear (no English letters) but you can tell you’re in the right place based off the menu out front with all the set price offerings. There is an English menu and staff speaks enough to get by- we only know... the basics in Japanese and were fine! We both ordered one of the multi course sets and everything was INSANELY GOOD. And prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food we were given. Very cute atmosphere would definitely go back. One note is that it’s a smoking area- we got lucky that no one was smoking around us though!

“Out and about in Gion”
This small restaurant, just off the "Geisha viewing" street in Gion, on the east side of Kyoto is a gem. Unusually for this area it has an extensive a la carte menu (most restaurants have fixed-price menus or "sets"), comprising the full range of Japanese food (other than sushi). We had wonderful sa...shimi, light crisp tempura, teriyaki flavoured tuna and soft, melting beef sitting up at the bar accompanied by a decent salad. There is an English menu and the staff speak just about enough English to be able to communicate. Others have mentioned the smoking issue but the extraction system just about copes not to make it too unpleasant. We ate a lot of food, with a few beers and a gin and tonic and the total bill came to just over 13,000 yen/£100 sterling, good value for what we had.

“Hidden spot”
Great hidden restaurant and izakaya. Food was really good, medium priced. Went for a selection of the dishes and did not regret it!
