“Avg unagi restaurant”
Not sure if the unagi was freshly prepared, look like it was reheated or reburnt. Moreover the unagi does not have the charcoal burnt flavor, even though it was supposed to be prepared that way. It looks and tastes more like those pre-cooked unagi from the food court. In any case, it is hard to find... a good unagi restaurant these days.

“No good service”
My wife and I travelled from Canada on our 10th wedding anniversary trip. We went to this restaurant on Saturday, September 30th for dinner. The food was good but the service of staffs we're bad and ruined our mood to enjoy the meal. Therefore , Not recommend this restaurant to foreign visitors .... While we we're eating , there was Japanese man who sitting next table. After he drunk and finished his meal, he started to yell to us with impolite wording and behavior. Then he went to the cashier area and keep yelling with pointing finger and said "Chinese people should not eating in here ". Even we understood what did he say in Japanese but we did not reply to him . We would like the staffs to handle this situation. However , the staffs did not control their customers and allowed him keep yelling for couple minutes. My wife and I were very unhappy and no mood to finish the meal . If the restaurant do not welcome foreign customers then they can post the sign "Japanese only" in the front door . Their staffs shouldn't let the drunk customer to bother other customers .

“Decent Unagi Don”
This restuarant is located within the Takashimaya shopping centre. Unagi Toku serves very decent unagi don. The unagi is grilled to perfection and the japanese bbq sauce is as right (not too sweet and salty). A good place to satisfy unagi craving.

“Decent Unagi”
Located on the 7/F of Kyoto Takashimaya department store. Originally we planned to dine at the sukiyaki place next door but they were sold out so we randomly stumbled upon this unagi restaurant and were decently surprised. The set meal with unagi (eel) served in the wooden cup tasted very good. The ...Chazuke (tea dashi rice) with unagi where you pour soup broth over the eel, green onions, and dashi was spectacular. May not be great value-for-money but was a decent find.
