“Great Traditional Experience”
The restaurant is conveniently located just behind Kenninji Temple in Gion. It's designed in the traditional Japanese way, with an outer corridor that runs between the tatami rooms and the garden. All tables are floor seating on tatami mats. The meal is a traditional Kyoto-style Kaiseki meal, and th...e food is delicious. The service is great, and the staff is friendly. We've been to this restaurant many times and always enjoyed our visit. The Geiko and Maiko entertainment is out-of-this-world! Our last visit was at the end of October, and we were hosted by Naokazu. She was elegant, graceful, and easy to chat with. Our translator was Miho, and she is the best! She is fluent in English and understands the differences between Japanese and Western cultures. This makes it easy to have discussions and to joke and have fun with the Geiko and Maiko.

“Amazing experience with a Maiko”
We chose this restaurant because it connected us with a Maiko who accompanied us throughout our dinner, danced with us, and played games. The Maiko answered all our questions and was truly a wonderful person to meet. I will never forget this experience, which will undoubtedly remain at the pinnacle ...of my Japanese memories. A heartfelt thanks also for having provided us with a fantastic interpreter thanks to which we were able to learn more about the geisha culture.

“Amazing Maiko Experience”
This was an incredible experience. We were able to spend a long time with the maiko (about 90 minutes), talk with her, ask questions. She performed two dances as well. This really gave us a lot of insight into the maiko culture, why a 15 year old girl would want to leave her family to join a maik...o family, and what life after becoming a geisha is like. The dinner was very good. Also, the interpreter we had, Miho Nakanan, was excellent! We were able to talk with Miho before the maiko arrived to give us more insight into her world. I highly recommend this. Although it seems pricey, the memories are worth it. I attended a maiko experience in the past but it was for many groups and much less time with the maiko. This experience, with a room just for our group, was infinitely better.

“Great experience in Kyoto”
We had a great experience with maiko-san. We booked lunch time. Firstly we had a lunch. And about 10 or 20 minutes later, Maiko-san arrived. During the lunch, we talked with maiko-san. And we saw the dance of maiko-san. And then we played simple game. But not easy. I recommend this experience.
