“Hot coal BBQ Yakiniku restaurant”
Located right underneath the Hanshin Nishikujo Station train track is this strange-shaped concrete restaurant. The tables are metal and circular with a hole in the middle, they put the hot coals in the hole and they have this huge vent pipe above the coals with a spot lamp to cut through the smoke.... This figuration has some drawbacks. There is a vent pipe in the middle so it obstructs the view of your fellow tablemates. Secondly, there are no chairs here, just stools. This was hard on the older people at the table. For the food: They had some good meat selections. You can choose from the various grades of Wagyu. However, whoever does the actual cutting had difficulty in getting continuity. We had thick, thin, square, triangular, cubed - every shape imaginable in the same serving. The meat then doesn't cook at the same speed. It is clear that they are targeting the younger generation. While we enjoyed the food, we were not so fond of the environment. Probably will not choose to go back but will not object if we end up back here. No parking but plenty of pay parking nearby.
