“Favourite takoyaki octopus balls.”
My absolute favourite takoyaki stall. They have another branch at Kuromon Market. My family goes next door to Isomaru Suisan, i come here instead. Nothing wrong with the food next door but i can finish a whole box of octopus balls by myself here. I can come and eat this 3 days in a row! Topped with ...bonito (fish) flakes, loads of green spring onions and their original sauce. The texture is perfect! There is seating behind and also upstairs but i prefer standing by the stall and eating there and then. Come here every trip to osaka.

“Meccha Oishii!”
Osaka is the Japanese capital of street food and one of its signature dishes is takoyaki. In the area of Namba/Dotonbori I've found Wanaka and during my holiday I ended up eating takoyaki there every single day. You order from the stall on the street and you can either take away or eat inside. Highl...y recommended!

“These are good takoyaki but they aren't great takoyaki ”
Before coming to Osaka, several places said that despite being a chain, Wanaka did the best and tastiest takoyaki in the city. Walking around Namba there were several dozen places to choose from, some with queues, some without. Wanaka had no queue when we bought them, but they had a queue later. Th...ese are cheap takoyaki - you get 8 for 500¥ and they are big. Plus there are lashings of seaweed, dried bonito, sauce and mayonnaise. However I was not blown away - they use the cheaper pieces rather than whole octopus and you get less octopus per ball than in other places. Meanwhile the consistency is a bit soft and all the toppings detract from the flavour of the batter, which for me means they were hiding a weak batter. I'd go to a different takoyaki place next time.

“Batter too soft”
We've tried different Takoyaki stalls and this is not the best. Prefer the more chewy type. Don't be mislead by the long queue.

“A very popular Takoyaki restaurant in Osaka.”
A very popular Takoyaki restaurant "Wanaka" next to "Yoshimoto Grand Kagetsu (NGK) " in Namba(Sennichimae). It is delicious even if you eat it regularly with sauce or mayonnaise, but my recommendation is "boiling pot salt." Furthermore, if you eat without mayonnaise you can taste the Takoyaki of "W...anaka" as it is. You sit in the restaurant and eat it.
