“Looking for an Izakaya meal, and found it!”
Found this place by chance but I understand that it scores well on Japanese review sites - it is an odd location at first sight, on the 4th floor of a non-descript building. However, it is really atmospheric - from the wind chimes on the sliding door to the open plan kitchen, and the cosy sitting a...rrangements. Food was generally good - the chicken karaage was a bit tough (choice of young or old chicken....we chose old based on waitress' recommendation), but all other dishes were tasty - see my pics. Tofu done all sort of ways. Beef was the tenderest we've had, maybe ever.
