“Decent mid range Italian”
Located on Uranai (Fortune-telling) Street, is this mid-range Italian restaurant that focuses on seafood. The nomenclature of the name [ビストリア魚タリアン] is Bisutoria (Bistro) Uo (Fish) Tarian (Italian spoken in Japanese English without the "I") The Uo is the play on words (regular way of saying this ch...aracter is "Sakana" but they decided the pronunciation to be the alternate pronunciation) From the getgo, you can see that they are really trying hard to be sophisticated but it ended up being a bit hoity-toity. Whether it was their terrine, risotto, fresh lobster pasta, grilled Tai, or their Wagyu steak - the presentation was very nice. (see photos submitted) Taste-wise, decent. It was about 5,000 yen per person not including the wine. No complaints on the food for value. Would we go back? Probably not. It was on the more expensive side for an Italian meal. There are comparable meals available for a lower price point. All in all, it was a pleasant evening. They have the sister Chinese restaurant next door that also focuses on seafood. No parking on site, pay parking is closeby however due to many, one-way streets and meridians, very hard to actually get to.
