Ru Pan Kobekitano Main store

This is a place that I goto almost every week! A pretty good selection of breads. They have a selection of no egg breads as well. The bakery uses organic and local ingredients of Hyogo prefecture. The location is a little far from a station but if your in the Kitano area it's a place well worth ...the visit. I recommend the chocolate danish bread or the salted butter roll. They have free coffee as well and a small place outside the shop to sit and enjoy the food.

We came across this little bakery by chance and lucky that we did. The manager was very helpful and recommended some excellent choices. They offer an excellent choice of many different kinds of bread and pastries. We bought many different ones to eat as a snack (that afternoon) and for brekkie the n...ext day, in our hotel room. They still tasted excellent the following morning. The tomato, olive and cream cheese campagne was fantastic. The Mohngnbeback (chocolate croissant/bread) was wonderfully light and fluffy, with a light, crispy pastry on the outside. Tha Cacao Raisin wasn't sweet and matched freshly brewed coffee perfectly. The bread is much thicker and heavier, unlike the typical light and fluffy style of most Japanese bakeries. Next time, we're in Kobe, we will call in for sure ...
