NAKAMOTO

Part of a food tour with 15 people around Osaka. Roughly a 8 course meal, taking around 2.5-3hrs. Wine pairing is included but opted for more innovative tea pairing. Friendly owner/chef and staff. Although listed as Italian, there was 1 pasta dish and rest of wasn’t particularly Italian heavy. The... main dish was beef but temperature option wasn’t asked so it was rare with only seared browned edges; beef was chewy and not tender. Couple of snow crab dishes, surprisingly a large portion of Italian roasted equivalent vegetables while others tend to be small portions. Agnolotti with scallops was light but scallops sizes were small. Most dishes were cold and not hot; would have preferred a more balanced menu. Somewhat off the tourist path and worth a visit if trying different treatment of dishes vs taste is the objective.
